'What is Lost'

As a brother of six, I have spent my entire life surrounded by masculinity and benefitted from the enjoyments that have come from this, such as a lifestyle of healthy competition to constantly push one another further. However, like anything this also comes with its dark side - toxic masculinity. This project studies and asks questions of what is lost in the midst of toxic masculinity in British culture - capturing men in British culture who haven’t felt like they have been able to show affection towards each other and providing a safe environment for them to do so - acting as a form of phototherapy for the individuals, all while documenting the process in an ethnographic manner.
